Our History
Shelby Lands Developments traces its beginnings to a bold vision: to transform private land into a shared resource for the community. Under the leadership of founder Tim Webster, Shelby Investments began acquiring land between 2008 and 2016, ultimately assembling more than 1,800 acres along the Cahaba River.
Through a groundbreaking partnership with the Alabama Forever Wild Land Trust and Shelby County, that land became Cahaba River Park, a destination for hiking, biking, paddling, and exploring Alabama’s natural wonders. The park now features 21 miles of professionally designed single-track trails, six miles of navigable river, and space for families to connect with nature.
It’s more than a park. It’s a living legacy and a reflection of what’s possible when conservation and community come together.
